On May 19, the Department of Energy’s Loan Programs Office (LPO) released new guidance for the Title 17 Clean Energy Financing program, which has the authority to provide roughly $300 billion in loan guarantees to innovative clean energy infrastructure projects across America. This guidance updates how LPO considers and evaluates Applicants for its clean energy financing, and in doing so will be a key factor in how the American clean energy economy evolves into the future.
