Yogin Kothari is a Senior Vice President with Boundary Stone Partners based in Washington, D.C. After a decade serving in both Congress and the nonprofit sector, Yogin brings a keen understanding of how to shape, influence, and advance public policy through federal advocacy.
Yogin previously served as a Professional Staff Member on the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, where he advised Chairman Gary C. Peters on a wide variety of topics including regulatory affairs, climate change and the environment, research security, government operations, and federal records. During his tenure, Yogin cultivated strong relationships and advanced several legislative and oversight priorities, such as helping create the Pandemic Response Accountability Committee through passage of the CARES Act.
Before Capitol Hill, Yogin spent more than seven years with the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS), representing the organization before Congress, federal agencies, and in the media on issues such as scientific integrity, government transparency, chemical safety, and endangered species. At UCS, he helped coordinate federal lobbying campaigns, served in several coalition leadership roles, and worked closely with community partners and advocates. He also advised on congressional investigations, procedure, and oversight and litigation strategy.
A proud Southern California native, Yogin moved to the nation’s capital to earn his B.A. in international affairs from the George Washington University. He also holds an M.P.S. in legislative affairs and a graduate certificate in PACs and political management from the George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management.
