Conner Brace is Senior Vice President at Boundary Stone Partners in the Washington, D.C. office where he brings significant experience in the Trump administration and a deep understanding of Republicans in Congress.
He joins the team from the Climate Leadership Council, a think tank promoting market-based solutions to lower global emissions, where he served as Director of Policy and Government Relations. In this role, Conner led the Council’s efforts to impact public policy and build relationships with government, corporate, and strategic partners.
Conner has a broad energy policy background and, from 2022-2023, was the Senior Manager for Government Relations at the American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers where he represented some of the nation’s largest energy producers.
From 2018-2021, Conner served as an appointee at the United States Department of Energy under President Donald Trump. He worked in the Office of Congressional & Intergovernmental Affairs as an advisor to Secretaries Rick Perry and Dan Brouillette. Conner’s duties consisted of roles as the deputy liaison to the U.S. House, liaison to various DOE program offices, counselor for confirmation hearings, and advisor to Department leadership on bills such as the Energy Act of 2020 and National Defense Authorization Act.
Conner previously served on Capitol Hill as an aide in the Offices of House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA) and Rep. Steven Palazzo (R-MS), a member of the House Appropriations Committee. He left the public sector in 2017 to join Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld.
Conner is a graduate of the University of Virginia where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government and has volunteered with numerous Presidential, gubernatorial, and congressional campaigns.
